hi everybody, the 2006 freedom for political prisoners calendar is ready! you can buy them online at certaindays.org

tegan and sara are great supporters of the calendar. and emy, the tegan and sara art director has designed it this year! the calendar is a fundraiser so all the proceeds go to direct support for political prisoners, their families, prison justice organizations and anti-imperialist struggles. it's full of beautiful art and writings by political prisoners and activists from all over north america. check it out and start learning about the realities of political, prisoners all over the world.

from the calendar-- "Today's anti-war, anti-globalization and anti-colonial movements are rooted in the history of earlier struggles for justice, including the mass movements of the 60s and 70s. Many of the political prisoners featured in this calendar have been in prison since that time--30 years or more. Yet these prisoners are not relics of past movements, they are still active in their political work and despite the hardships of organizing in prison, they continue to organize for justice in the present day; justice behind bars and on the streets. this calendar is a tribute to them."
