New York, NY

By Sara

We've created a monster! Rob won't leave me alone about these damn journal entries. We have been playing almost everyday and he thinks I am being lazy by not posting one everytime something funny or eventful happens. (Like when he almost started a fight in brooklyn because he is bull headed and argumentative.) It's like he's got a new tennis racquet and he wants to hit the ball against the garage EVERY day after school. Sometimes you gotta settle down Rob and watch some Degrassi Jr. High and relax. Let your muscles relax, keep your skills tight. On another Rob note, he was awarded the CHRIS CARLSON MEMORIAL award, for being so helpful while Chris was in Ontario doing some shows with KINNIE STARR this week. Yay Rob!

It has been a year since we have been in the US, and so far the weather and the shows have been terrific. We have been in New York since Thursday and for the first time in two years of New York trips, it hasn't been raining. Today we went shopping and I think we must have walked 200 blocks. Tight buns for the Tegan and Sara crew. Tommorow is our show at NYU and then we are off to Washington to start the Ryan Adams tour. Fun fact: We stumbled upon these amazing apartments here in New York and I will be sad to leave; they are almost better than my own aparment at home. I can't forget to mention how fun it was to watch Rob drink himself into a stupor at the metal club we went to after our Brooklyn show. Rob the "Russian"; more like Rob the "light weight". Sobbing into the couch when we finaly tucked him in for the night, "I drank too much". I think so too, Robbie. I am watching a fantastic subtitled infomercial on a rotating round brush. "From Wild to Styled!" It's brilliant, I am going to order one right now.
